International Initiatives

International Initiatives

The Institute is in the process of entering into various international initiatives in the field of teaching, training, research, patient care activities etc. for which delegations from many foreign countries visit the Institute. For the present, the Institute is involved in the following international activities:

  1. Under a proposal of Department of AYUSH, the Institute is shouldering the responsibility in the setting up of:
  2. Ayurveda Chair in the Jeonju University of South Korea
  3. Study Chairs of Ayurveda in Germany and South Africa
  4. Foreign Exposure Training of 3-6 Months to MD(Ayurved) Scholars of Sri Lanka.
  5. Collaborative Research for Clinical Trials for Ayurvedic Health Supplements received from Indian Branch of an NRI Nutraceutical Company Incorporated in New Jersey, USA.
  6. The WHO has awarded an APW Project on Standardized Terminologies of Non-Clinical Subjects of Ayurveda for the year 2011. This is in progress.
  7. The Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine of South Korea has expressed its interest in Collaborative Research etc. with the Institute and this is being initiated with the approval of the Department of AYUSH.
