DEPARTMENT OF SWASTHA VRITTA

Introduction:

Swastha Vritta deals with Ayurvedic lifestyle and maintenance of the health. Swastha Vritta mainly emphasizes on proper daily regimen as well as seasonal regimen, day-to-day living like morning routine, cleanliness, evening routine, night routine etc. including Sadvritta. The Department imparts Under Graduate and Post Graduate education and training in personal hygiene, prevention of contagious diseases, Preventive and Promotive aspects of health, etc. In addition to this, practical training in Yoga and Nature Cure is also given to students. There is a Yoga Unit attached to this Department conducting Yogasanas etc. early morning every day.

During the year under report 1 Associate Professor and 3 Assistant Professor with other supporting technical and non-technical staff were working in the Department. Apart from the these, 1 Associate Professor was appointed on contract basis in the Department. 1 Professor on contractual basis engaged in the Department.

Achievements

Academic:

A) Under-Graduate Level: During the year, theoretical as well as practical teaching, training and guidance in the subject of Swastha Vritta were provided to BAMS.

B) Post-Graduate Level: During the year, theoretical as well as practical teaching, training and guidance were provided to M.D. Scholars on their research topics with reference to special diseases.

C) Ph.D. Level: Teaching, training and guidance were given to Ph.D. scholars on their subjects as per rules and directions of Rajasthan Ayurved University. Research works were also conducted.


DEPARTMENT OF PRASUTI TANTRA AND STRI ROGA

Introduction:

The Department of Prasuti and Stri Rog is imparting Teaching and Training to Ph.D. (Ayurved), Post-Graduate (M.S. Ayurved), Undergraduate (BAMS) and DAN & P (Diploma in Ayurvedic Nursing & Pharmacy) Courses. Various Research Activities are carried out by M.S. and Ph.D. Scholars and also the activities of the Department includes providing Ayurvedic Medical Care and Treatment for various diseases of female like Anartav, Artav Kshaya, Artav Dushti, Asrugdar, Vandhyatwa, Garbhashaya Shotha, Cysts related to Beeja Granthi, Shroni Shoth (Pelvic Inflammation), Rajah Kruchrata (Dysmenorrhea), etc. The Prasuti Section of the Department provides Ayurvedic Medical Care and Treatment for various conditions of pregnant women like Garbhini Parikshana (Antenatal care), Garbhini Paricharya, Prasav Karma, Sutika Paricharya and Mahila Kalyana. The Department also performs various Ayurvedic procedures like Uttara Basti (Vaginal, Intrauterine, Intravesicle), Kshara Karma, Yoni Prakshalan, Pichu, Anuvasan Basti, Pottali etc. to Female Patients as a part of treatment. Various surgical procedures such as EB, Polypectomy, Tubal ligation, Hysterectomy (Abdominal and Vaginal) and Caesarean Section are also carried out frequently and contraception like Cu-T is advised to patients for family planning purposes.

During the year under report, 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor and 2 Assistant Professors with other supporting technical and non-technical staff were working in the Department.

Academic:

During the year, theortical as well as practical teaching, training and guidance in the subject of Prasuti-Stri Roga were provided to students and scholars at the level of UG, PG and Ph.D.
