DEPARTMENT OF ROGA NIDANA AND VIKRITI VIGYANA

Introduction:

The Department of Roga Nidana and Vikriti Vigyana was recognized as a Post-Graduate Department. Apart from undertaking teaching, research-training, research etc. both at UG and PG levels, this Department is also involved in conducting various laboratory diagnostic investigations, pathological tests, ECG, USG, X-ray etc. for patients care. The investigations are conducted for patient care as well as research purposes of all the Departments. A well-equipped Laboratory is attached with this Department for that particular purpose. The Department is also providing regular guidance to Ph.D. Scholars.

During the year under report, 2 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors and 1 Assistant Professor with other supporting technical and non-technical staff were working in the Department.

Objectives:

1. To equip the world with best research scholar so that they enlighten the society with their ocean of knowledge in Ayurveda.

2. To render the Ayurvedic world with smart and early handling diagnostic tools and methods.

Achievements

Academic:

The Department intensively engaged in theoretical the practical training to the Under-Graduate students as well as Post-Graduate Scholars as per the syllabus and curriculum prescribed by the CCIM and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. The Department also developed many teaching methods to easy understand the students.

A) Under-Graduate Level: During the year, theoretical as well as practical teaching, training and guidance in the subject of Roga & Vikriti Vigyan were provided to students of BAMS as per Syllabus prescribed by the CCIM and the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University.

B) Post-Graduate Level: During the year, theoretical as well as practical teaching, training and guidance in the PG Subjects were provided to PG Scholars as per Syllabus of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. Research works were also conducted by the same.

C) Ph.D. Level: Teaching, training and guidance were given to Ph.D. scholars on their subjects as per rules and directions of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. Ph.D. scholars conduct the seminar and departmental classes in presence of teaching staff so that they improve their teaching skills. Research works were conducted.


DEPARTMENT OF PRASUTI TANTRA AND STRI ROGA

Introduction:

The Department of Prasuti and Stri Rog is imparting Teaching and Training to Ph.D. (Ayurved), Post-Graduate (M.S. Ayurved), Undergraduate (BAMS) and DAN & P (Diploma in Ayurvedic Nursing & Pharmacy) Courses. Various Research Activities are carried out by M.S. and Ph.D. Scholars and also the activities of the Department includes providing Ayurvedic Medical Care and Treatment for various diseases of female like Anartav, Artav Kshaya, Artav Dushti, Asrugdar, Vandhyatwa, Garbhashaya Shotha, Cysts related to Beeja Granthi, Shroni Shoth (Pelvic Inflammation), Rajah Kruchrata (Dysmenorrhea), etc. The Prasuti Section of the Department provides Ayurvedic Medical Care and Treatment for various conditions of pregnant women like Garbhini Parikshana (Antenatal care), Garbhini Paricharya, Prasav Karma, Sutika Paricharya and Mahila Kalyana. The Department also performs various Ayurvedic procedures like Uttara Basti (Vaginal, Intrauterine, Intravesicle), Kshara Karma, Yoni Prakshalan, Pichu, Anuvasan Basti, Pottali etc. to Female Patients as a part of treatment. Various surgical procedures such as EB, Polypectomy, Tubal ligation, Hysterectomy (Abdominal and Vaginal) and Caesarean Section are also carried out frequently and contraception like Cu-T is advised to patients for family planning purposes.

During the year under report, 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor and 2 Assistant Professors with other supporting technical and non-technical staff were working in the Department.

Achievements

Academic:

During the year, theortical as well as practical teaching, training and guidance in the subject of Prasuti-Stri Roga were provided to students and scholars at the level of UG, PG and Ph.D.
